⮚ Day 2: Leh – Shey – Thiksey – Hemis Set out on a tour of the ancient monasteries around Leh today. Begin with Shey Gompa, about 15 km away, historically the summer residence of the royal family of Ladakh. Next, visit Thiksey Gompa, close to Shey and about 17 km from Leh. Continue to Hemis Monastery, situated roughly 45 km south of Leh, which is among the largest and most famous monasteries in Ladakh.

⮚ Day 3: Leh – Nubra Valley (125 km/5 hrs) Depart after breakfast for the Nubra Valley via the Khardung La Pass, the highest motorable road in the world, sitting at 18,390 ft. The Nubra Valley, known as the “valley of flowers,” lies north of Leh and is set at an average elevation of 10,000 ft. Explore the principal settlement of the valley, Diskit, which hosts a centuries-old monastery and a bustling little market. Visit the historic Diskit Gompa, established in 1420 AD, and Hundar village, famous for its picturesque scenery, small monastery, and ancient fort ruins.

⮚ Day 4: Nubra Valley – Leh (125 km/5 hrs) After breakfast, make a stop at Samstanling Monastery, then journey back to Leh over the Khardung La Pass. Spend another night in Leh, reflecting on the adventures of the past few days.
