⮚ Day 01: Arrival in Srinagar
Upon landing at Srinagar airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our representative who will help transfer you to a Super Deluxe houseboat. Once you’ve settled in, take some time to relax and enjoy the luxurious setting. Later in the evening, experience a peaceful Shikara ride on Dal Lake, where the sunset provides a spectacular backdrop. End your day with a delightful welcome dinner and an overnight stay on the houseboat.
⮚ Day 02: Srinagar to Gulmarg (85 km / approx. 1½ hours drive)
Start your morning by departing the houseboat and traveling towards Gulmarg. Your journey will take you through scenic landscapes of willow trees, rushing streams, and vibrant green meadows. Known as the “meadow of flowers,” Gulmarg offers stunning views of snow-capped mountains and dense conifer forests. You can enjoy a leisurely walk or take a pony ride (at additional cost) to see the high-altitude Golf Course. Consider a thrilling Gondola lift ride (also at additional cost). Later, return to Srinagar for a restful night in a hotel.
⮚ Day 03: In Srinagar | Day Excursion to Sonamarg (90 km / approx. 3 hours drive)
Dedicate this day to exploring Sonamarg, the “meadow of gold.” This destination is famous for its vibrant Sindh River, a popular spot for trout and mahseer fishing during summer. Optional pony rides are available for those wishing to visit the nearby glaciers (at additional cost). After a day of adventure, return to your Srinagar hotel for the night. Note: Transport will be available from and to the Sonamarg car stand, and pony hire for glacier visits is an additional expense.
⮚ Day 04: On to Srinagar | Pahalgam (102 km / approx. 3½ hours drive)
Depart early for Pahalgam, also known as the “valley of shepherds,” located at the meeting point of the Lidder River and Sheeshnag Lake streams. On your way, stop by the ancient Awantipura ruins, an 1100-year-old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Enjoy the serene environment of Pahalgam, and perhaps visit Baisaren, a picturesque village nestled in pine and fir forests. In the evening, return to Srinagar for an overnight stay in a hotel.
⮚ Day 05: Departure with Cherished Memories
On your final day, we will organize your transfer to Srinagar Airport. As you depart, you’ll take with you a collection of wonderful memories from your journey with Exceptional Holidays Kashmir.
